For the past eight years, my main focus has been NWS Studio, the flagship creative platform at Newsroom AI, shaping the UI/UX, feature design and frontend implementation while keeping the product production-ready for global publishers and brands.

WYSIWYG Editor
Implemented the frontend of a drag-and-drop editor for online ads and story-based creatives — including canvas layout, element controls, and toolbar interactions.
Multi-format Creatives
Designed the UI logic and HTML structure enabling creatives to export as web ads, AMP Stories, landing pages, and HTML presentations from the same canvas.
Dataset-driven Creatives
Designed UI workflows for dataset-driven creatives — templates and tabular data generating hundreds of ad variations in a single pass.
Campaign Management UI
Implemented dashboard interfaces for campaign management, asset libraries, team administration, and reporting.
Creative Preview & Client Review
Built UI for automated preview pages and client-facing tools used to present and review creatives with brand advertisers.
Design System
Created and maintained a shared PostCSS component library reused across multiple Newsroom products to ensure visual consistency at scale.

Boardly
  • Turn-based board game platform built full-stack with Next.js 14, TypeScript and Supabase. Chess is the first game, with an architecture meant to grow into more games over time.
  • Real-time multiplayer via Supabase Realtime, guest play without an account, a multi-board dashboard for simultaneous games, PWA-ready and mobile-first. Row-level security on the database. Available in English, Romanian and Spanish.

RiveAds Studio
  • AI-assisted web app for generating animated display ads from natural language, rendered with the Rive runtime. A typed AdSpec schema drives layout, copy, and animation; outputs target embeddable HTML/JS, video, and static fallbacks (some formats on the roadmap).
  • Experimental MVP — active development.

Outside of work I explore ideas through books, audiobooks and documentaries, discover new music, and stay active with running and regular workouts. I have a soft spot for sci-fi, history, and live music. Originally from Romania, now based in Spain.
